Mobile-First as the Future of Marketing
There is no denying that mobile is the future. More and more brands are putting mobile first
in their marketing strategies, especially e-commerce companies. Even huge corporations have mobile apps on
which users can take care of straightforward customer service activities
automatically, instead of waiting on hold.
Mobile isn’t an option for marketers anymore, it’s a requirement.
Brands need to focus now on creating new content
specifically for mobile devices. That
content needs to make sense to a user on the go and offer some sort of value or
at least entertainment. Social media, of
course, has led the charge into mobile-first strategy. Instagram and Pinterest ads are now key for
increasing product sales as more and more purchases are being made on mobile.
This is not something marketers can ignore, and the tools we
use are trying to keep up with the latest mobile technologies. Sites like Wordpress and Squarespace now have
mobile optimization built in to every template.
Brands can take advantage of this now permanent trend by truly getting their
messages directly to their target audience
in the right place, at the right time.
This encourages customers even more to take action by making a purchase,
a download, or visiting a website.
Overall, smartphone technology puts marketers at more of an advantage
than they have ever had before.
